General Information |
A-Division teams must be uniformly dressed on the court, with jerseys clearly numbered in front and back (optional).
B-Division must wear jerseys that are clearly numbered in the back, numbers on the front are optional.
Teams that would like to have extra players from the individual player pool (if available), need to bring uniforms for these players.
We recommend that each team bring two uniforms of different color in case of two teams having the same or similar colors. In the event of two teams having the same or similar colors, the home team will be asked to change jerseys. If a team does not have a second set of uniforms to change into then the tournament committee will try to provide pinnies.
Team captain must wear a captain's armband. Shoes must be of an indoor type model which fully encloses the foot and have non marking soles.
General Rules And RegulationsWe will be following IFF rules in the tournament with the following exceptions:
§ The clock will always be running (no team time outs) in a period except on penalty shots and if /when the referee calls a time out because of an injury, for example.
§ While first round games may end with a tie, playoff games may not end in a tie.
-Playoff games ending in a tie will go into extra time.
-Regular playoff games, including the semifinals, will have a three minute extra time period, with one minute between the end of the regulation time and the beginning of the extra time. If no goal is scored in extra time to break the tie, the teams will go into penalty shots, with five players from each team taking one shot each. If the score after this is still tied then the same players will continue to take one penalty shot each until a decisive result (one team having scored more goals than shots remain for the other team) has been reached.
-The third place matches in both divisions, plus the B-Division final, will have a five minute extra time period, with two minutes between the end of the regulation time and the beginning of the extra time. The penalty shootout procedure after extra time, if necessary, is unchanged.
-In the event of a tie after regulation time in the A-Division championship match, an extra time period of ten minutes will be added to possibly break the tie. There will be a two minute break between the end of regulation time and the beginning of the extra time period. The penalty shootout procedure after extra time, if necessary, is unchanged.
