§ The clock will always be running in a period except on penalty shots and during injuries if or when the referee calls a time out.
§ Games ending in a tie during regulation time will remain tied except for the championship match. If the championship match is tied at the end of regulation time it shall b extended by one, 10 minute, golden goal extra time period. There will be a two-minute break between the end of the last period and the beginning of extra time. If the teams are still tied after the extra time period has ended, teams will go into penalty shots, with 5 players from each team taking one shot each.
